President, Director of Coaching and Instruction
Wes is responsible for all baseball operations, with emphasis on the development of both players and coaches. He was a two-time All American shortstop and pitcher at the University of Alabama at Huntsville where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Drafted in the 2004 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft by the Oakland A’s, Wes subsequently played 8 years of professional baseball. He has also spent time coaching professionally for the Chicago Cubs, scouting for the Oakland Athletics, and has served as an Assistant Coach on Donny Harrel’s staff at Seattle University.
Wes has earned his reputation in Seattle’s youth baseball community as a premier teacher of the game of baseball. His focus is on developing the club’s players and coaches, with a continuity of instruction from the youngest ballplayer to the most senior.
He also prides himself on leading the club’s efforts to prepare players for playing baseball at the next level. The College Planning Program maximizes opportunities for our ballplayers to compete for college roster spots.
